Having the perfect festival bag is essential when it comes to enjoying your festival or rave carefree. I personally love having a fanny pack when I’m at a single night rave, but during festival season it’s nice to have a backpack for all the ‘extra’ stuff. These are all my favorite bags and fanny packs. Below are all my personal faves and current obsessions.
This is probably one of the more important accessories/pieces of gear I always tell people to make sure they have. Even though it’s not ‘necessary’ per se, you’re going to be jumping up and down and dancing all night, don’t risk losing your cash/ID/keys. Here’s are my favorites/personal suggestions:
My Go-To
This drop-leg multipurpose utility pack is my current and personal favorite. I’m going through a phase where I’m doing a lot of headbanging and this pack stays secure and close all night loooong. I’m a personal fan simply because it has enough storage to keep everything important locked up safe without fear of losing everything if I open the wrong pocket! However, this is by far NOT the only option!
Here are some other options that I highly recommend checking out! Especially if you’re going to be attending a multiple day festival outside!
Hydration Packs
Hydration packs are amazing for events. If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy walking in and out of the crowd (or spending a million dollars on water) then this is the option for you! Above are two packs that I personally use and love.
The Vibedration is a great go-to when you’re looking for something to accessories with, and they have more color, pattern and style options so you can have one for every outfit! At 1.5L it’s the perfect size for something lightweight but spacious to fit your things!
The Camelbak is probably my more used of the two though! It has more space inside for me to put multiple items, as well as a pocket in the front to hold a blanket/jacket, as well at 3.0L it’s enough water for me and my friends without having to fill up a ton!
Fanny Packs / Drawstring Bags
So.. What if you don’t want/need a hydration pack and you’re not a fan of my thigh pack? No worries! Fanny packs and drawstring backs are SUPER popular and great alternatives to keep your stuff s-a-f-e when it comes to reliable festival bags.
Drawstring bags are an easy alternative to a backpack or fanny pack. They’re lightweight, easy to find and can fit just about everything! The best part is that they’re inexpensive so if they get trashed, that’s okay.
Now fanny packs have really made a comeback. They’re always been mildly popular (at least to me) but it seems like companies (like SoJourner Bags) are stepping up the game with better prints, new styles and outright great prices!
These are some other websites that I highly recommend checking out! They have TONS of different prints, styles and price ranges. The only thing consistent across the board is quality- and let me just say, the bar is high.
